Bristol Sounds Line Up
The fantastic line-up starts on Saturday 22nd June with Skindred, Reef and Kris Barras Band headlining Canons Marsh Amphitheatre stage and welcoming crowds of thousands. The event goes on from 1-11 pm and alongside the excellent music, there will be food stalls, two stages, guest DJs and street food so you can make a day of it.
There is no day of rest on Sunday with another all-day session to look forward to. Starting at 1 pm, £35 will get you access to 9 and a half hours of Dub, Reggae, Ska and Rocksteady with headliners like Gentleman’s Dub Club, The Skints, The Dualers, Dreadzone, guest DJs, food stalls and a lot more. It’s the perfect way to start your week.
The party starts again after a couple of days’ break on Wednesday 26th June with the formidable James Arthur taking to the stage in the evening. The amphitheatre is in for a treat when the English singer, songwriter and X Factor winner captivates us with his dulcet tones and heartfelt lyrics. We’re looking forward to hearing all of his hits and some music from his new album Bitter Sweet Love.
Take a trip down memory lane on Thursday 27th June with the return of legendary pop punk band Busted! James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson have enjoyed four UK number-one singles, won two Brit Awards, released four studio albums and sold over 5 million records worldwide. Their music is the sound of a generation in the UK! There are special guests to be announced for this gig too and the guys always put on a great show.
Placebo, Porridge Radio and Friedberg are rocking the amphitheatre on Friday 28th June, but unless you already have tickets there is a slim chance you’ll get to see them. The gig has been sold out for weeks, and for good reason. The UK rockers Placebo are set to rock the stage on Friday evening for a couple of hours of any music lover’s dream.
The all-day sessions begin again on Saturday 29th, with a stunning line-up of dance, R&B and chart music in store. Wookie, Scarlett O’Malley and Melle Brown take to the stage, warming up for the formidable Annie Mac, the Irish DJ whose reputation precedes her. There will be a great atmosphere with food stalls, guest DJs and more to look forward to.
The week of fun and exciting events wraps up on Sunday 30th June but we’re going out with a bang. The Breeders headline on Sunday with no less than 14 other acts supporting and plenty of surprises along the way. There will be a festival atmosphere for the last day of Bristol Sounds and we’re hoping the weather plays its part in making this one of the best weeks of the year.
