Bristol’s much-loved Christmas Market is coming back in 2023 and promises to be bigger and better than ever. Located in the heart of the city centre, there are over 50 stalls for Christmas lovers to shop, eat, and drink with something for everyone. You’ll find many regulars and familiar faces as well as new sellers, new products, new private igloo and gondola pods, and new food types to enjoy. You’ll feel Christmas in the air with carols and live entertainment as well as Santa visits, a 15m high Ferris wheel, a candy-themed escape room, a magical reindeer sleigh ride, and magnificent helicopter rides. This year’s event will run from Friday November 3rd until Saturday December 23rd from 10am until 7pm daily.

Ice Skating is extra special when you’re surrounded by twinkling lights and the magic of Christmas. Avon Valley is hosting a Christmas extravaganza in 2023 complete with a Christmas Experience and Christmas Nights Light Trail. They have 300 square meters of glittering real ice waiting for skaters to practice their inner Torvill and Dean and afterward their après-skate is sure to be great fun. There is a great selection of food and drink and music. The rink is open on select dates from 1st December until the 1st January and the venue is suitable for the youngest beginner through to seasoned skaters. Panto in Bristol
Nothing says Christmas like shouts of ‘He’s Behind You!’ from excited theatregoers! This year, Panto is back with a bang in venues big and small all around Bristol. Bristol Hippodrome’s panto is one of the biggest and best in the city. This year they’re hosting Peter Pan and his pals for a high-flying panto from Sat 2 Dec – Sun 31 Dec 2023. Tobacco Factory, a short drive from our Bristol accommodation, is showing the wonderful Oliver Twist which promises a belly full of festive cheer from 2nd to 31st December. The lovely Redgrave Theatre is home to Goldilocks and her bear friends from 15th to 31st December. There are dozens of theatre events in Bristol over the festive season to choose from.
