– Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market returns to Victoria Square from 2nd November to 24th December. With dozens of stalls selling a large range of traditional goods, gifts, and a selection of tempting food and drink the market is popular with all age groups. Entry is free and it’s a popular Christmas activity, so we recommend getting there early.
– Christmas in Cathedral Square, a second Christmas market in the city, runs from 15th November through to 17th December and features more than 40 different food, drink, arts and crafts vendors from Birmingham and the wider West Midlands area.
–  We’re excited to see the arrival of the family classic Wizard of Oz On Ice, presented by Planet Ice for one night only on 5th December in Skydome. Enjoy this alternative to a panto that is sure to create family memories.
–  C. S. Lewis’ classic, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe comes roaring to The Rep Theatre this Christmas telling the story of Lucy, Aslan, and their adventures in Narnia. From 14th November 2023 to 28th January 2024 the West End show will fill hearts of all ages with delight.
– Birmingham Hippodrome has chosen The Nutcracker as their 2023 ballet and it promises to be one to remember. This extraordinary performance runs from 17th November to 7th December 2023 and tickets start at just £25.
– Jack and the Beanstalk Panto arrives at the Hippodrome after the Ballet, (16th December to 28th January) and we’re excited to welcome back Birmingham’s’ own Alison Hammond to the stage. Get ready to join Jack on his adventures in this fun-filled classic with plenty of ‘He’s Behind You!’.
– Watch family Christmas classic The Snowman with a live orchestra, performances, and costumes followed by a special screening of Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers in The Birmingham Repertory Theatre, for one night only on 6th January.
– Pantos don’t get any better than a modern rendition of the 1937 classic Snow White. Palace Theatre in Redditch (40-minutes from Birmingham) are retelling this story with Lee from Steps as a main character, and we can’t wait!
– Luna Springs has a wonderful festive line-up this Christmas. The lively outdoor bar and venue has a skating rink & music, and this year you can meet the naughtiest Santa of all. Its an incredible venue for a work celebration or a group night out. You can also enjoy Christmas classics at the Luna Drive-In Cinema.
