Royal Ascot
If you’ve never been to Royal Ascot and you’re a fan of horse racing, add it to your list this year. There is no event in the UK social calendar quite as revered as Royal Ascot. It’s reserved for the best, the best in racing, the best in hospitality and the best in style. From 18th until 22nd of June, the purpose-built racecourse is packed with stylish diners, drinkers, punters, admirers and more. Races happen throughout each day and culminate with The Gold Cup, the undisputed highlight of the racing calendar. It’s one of the most celebrated horse races in the world and takes place on Ladies’ Day so you can expect some exquisite hats and frocks to admire if the race doesn’t capture your eye. Royal Ascot presents a range of beautiful restaurants and stunning fine dining experiences from à la carte menus by Michelin-starred chefs to informal, flexible dining options in club environments.
Henley Regatta
From Tuesday 2nd to Sunday 7th July, one of the world’s most popular and prestigious rowing events returns to River Thames by the town of Henley-on-Thames. It is the highlight of the summer rowing calendar and the social season in the UK. Visited by more than 300,000 people each year, Henley Royal Regatta boasts over 300 races across six days of elite sporting competition. Originating in 1839, the race is more than just a sporting event but an opportunity for networking, family fun, and a truly entertaining day out for groups of friends and colleagues. The racing can be viewed from several locations along both banks of the Thames and there are dedicated enclosures that are available to prebook.
