Day One

While you’re at the park visit the Reading Abbey. Linked to the Forbury Gardens, The Abbey Quarter explores 900 years of history, the former grounds of Reading’s royal abbey and burial place of King Henry I.
Last but not least venture into the Victorian Town Hall and visit the Reading Museum. Discover our Huntley & Palmers biscuit tin collection, archaeology from Roman Silchester and Reading Abbey, our famous Victorian copy of the Bayeux Tapestry and much more.

Day Two

Ideal for couples or a family day out, Beale Park is an outdoor wildlife park within 40 acres set against the beautiful River Thames in Berkshire. The park is also home to a great variety of both Wild and Farmyard animals, including some endangered species, and the team pride themselves on animal conservation.
Have some lunch onsite at the Peacock Restaurant for a tempting array of freshly cooked, locally sourced dishes; pop in for afternoon tea, relax with a cuppa, enjoy an ice cream or pre-order your picnic for the day!
Head back to your serviced apartment as you unwind to get ready for your evening with the arts later.
