We're going green to keep our planet clean
We strive to reduce pollution to its lowest practicable level and are committed to comply with all relevant legislation and associated guidance.
We monitor and manage environmental performance in our operations through environmental risk assessments. Operating procedures and controls are developed through this process to reduce any risks to the environment to the lowest level practicable. Reviews of environmental performance are built in to regular health and safety inspections and audits.
All waste represents an inefficient use of resources and energy. We try to reduce the quantity of waste generated and regularly review routes whereby waste can be eliminated or reduced or recycled.
The Company promotes the efficient use of energy by its staff through the use of energy surveys, improved housekeeping, control of processes and the efficient use of service engineer resources.
Our staff, when planning work will try to keep all potential impacts on the environment such as noise, dust, smells or fumes to a minimum.
All wastes will be disposed of responsibly. Our staff will ensure they comply with all the waste disposal requirements.
The company believes that awareness and knowledge of environmental issues is an important part of the process of effective environmental management. Therefore it is our objective to provide suitable information and training to our employees to ensure they are able to make informed decisions.

Guest Communication
At PREMIER SUITES Birmingham we are committed to providing a good quality service whilst minimising the environmental impact of our activities. We improve our service by asking our guests to complete the Green Feedback Form.
Maintenance & cleaning
At PREMIER SUITES Birmingham the staff and cleaning personnel have a system in place to regularly check for dripping taps and leaky toilets.
At PREMIER SUITES Birmingham rainwater is collected and used for watering the plant or other suitable purposes.
Growing Our Own
PREMIER SUITES Birmingham promotes local planting of herbs and flowers. We are supporting nature by growing herbs, flowers and other plants on our site. This practise teaches new skills, supports wildlife, helps people to live a sustainable lifestyle and makes our Team and Guests more environmentally friendly.
Our People
At PREMIER SUITES Birmingham, we’ve got a Green Team, which includes management and key staff. The team meets regularly to develop the action plan, set targets and review progress.
Transportation
PREMIER SUITES Birmingham offers bike to work scheme through Perkbox app and our team are given one month’s free subscription to Trust where they can offset their carbon footprint.
Operations
PREMIER SUITES Birmingham sustainability strategy is driven by a wide range of initiatives to reduce environmental impacts, including the reduction of single-use plastics, a responsible sourcing guide and more. We are using The Cysoap dispensing system which meets high environmental standards: reduces the quantity of daily disposable waste; the usage of plastic is significantly reduced as well, making the plastic fully recyclable.

Clean Air Zone
Clean Air Zone Charge applies from 01.06.21 onwards: It is the guests responsibility to pay the Clean Air Zone Charge. Guests must check if their vehicle meets the criteria prior to travelling. Visit the website to enter your car registration: If the vehicle doesn’t meet the criteria then charges per day will apply: £8 for Cars, Taxi’s, Vans.
Guests will be able to pay themselves online or over the phone 6 days prior to the visit or the day of visit. PREMIER SUITES Birmingham will not be liable for any penalty notices. *It’s important to know a day runs from midnight to midnight. For example, to drive in at 10pm and leave at 6am you will be subject to 2 charges.

Charity Events
Get involved
PREMIER SUITES Birmingham have participated in Ukraine Funding Scheme and encouraged customers to donate. We have supported a National charity campaign for Stand With Ukraine. PREMIER SUITES Birmingham was looking to raise some funds for the British Red Cross appeal to help those in need in Ukraine by running an online raffle.
We also support “Beyond the Moon”, an organisation that looks after family holidays for families that have a (terminally) ill children or a child with physical disabilities. Their situation often implies that they need extra care during a vacation which often is very expensive. Beyond the moon raises funds to support those families.
Community Work
Working together
PREMIER SUITES Birmingham Team takes part in volunteering campaigns in AUGB – Ukrainian Club Wolverhampton – ‘’Zaporisha’’ and OUZ Coventry – Association of Ukrainian Woman in Great Britain.
Team participates in community outreach work by providing ESOL Courses for new arrivals to United Kingdom.
