Tall Ships Races 22nd to 25th July 2022
If like us, viewing the tall ships races has been on your bucket list for years, 2022 is the time to mark it off! From 22 to 25 July 2022 the city of Antwerp and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges will host The Tall Ships Races for the seventh time. On Friday 22 July 2022, the ships will moor in Antwerp and are free for all to enjoy. Enjoy dozens of historical ships that you can explore at your leisure, a colourful parade of the ships’ crews, musical performances, a maritime market, fireworks and much more. Meet the crews and immerse yourself in the festivities over the long weekend while learning more about the maritime history of the city. Summer of Antwerp - July & August 2022
Zomer van Antwerpen is a programme of events that are organised throughout the city in July & August, bringing people from across the country and the world together to celebrate summer. The programme includes theatre performances in the most unexpected locations and music from across the globe as well as the popular summer bar which serves drinks until late in the summer evenings. Zomerfabriek is a temporary night-time hotspot for parties, live music and more. Tomorrowland - 15-17, 22-24, 29-31 July 2022
While it’s not exactly in Antwerp, Tomorrowland is one of the largest events in the country and is a short distance from our suites. From its inception in 2005, Tomorrowland has grown to be the biggest DJ festival in the world and the best-known music festival in Belgium. Tickets are like gold dust so if you have secured a ticket it’s like winning the lottery! It has grown from a weekend event in 2005, to two weekends in 2017 and this year for the first time in 2022, it will take place over 3 weekends. The Tomorrowland 2022 line-up includes Infected Mushroom, Claptone, Mariana Bo, and Marshmello, some of the world’s biggest names in dance and alternative music. Aside from the big names in the line-up, Tomorrowland is also known for creating a completely different universe, with incredible stages and light shows – it’s no wonder over 300,000 people attended in 2019! The driving distance between Antwerp to Tomorrowland is 18km or 20 minutes by car.
