They have a great selection of beers and other drinks, ideal to loosen your tongue and help you have a great time catching up with your friends. This brewery has a lovely terrace, ideal for chilling in the sun with friends or mixing with locals. They have an outdoor grill where you can order very tasty food like chicken, pizza, hotdogs and some great vegetarian options. It would be a shame to come to the Netherlands and not enjoy some speciality beer. De Burgemeester distinguishes itself with its impressive collection of beers from breweries both local and international. You won’t be able to try them all but with a couple of samples, you’ll get your head around the quality of these delicious drinks. They have a terrace so you can enjoy a beer in the sun with your friends if the weather is warm. They have a great snack menu for those beer-induced munchies, and they have a good selection of wine for non-beer drinkers. It’s not a place for a quiet drink so bring your friends with loud voices and big personalities for a great night of chatting, dancing, and laughter.

With commercialism and tourism slowly taking over all major cities in the world, it’s a treat to find a traditional pub in the middle of the madness. Café Walenburg is an authentic Dutch bar which has been quenching thirsts since 1947. Its latest owner has transformed the bar into a beer paradise with more than two dozen beers on tap, and many more bottled beers. There’s a beer for any taste here. They have a great selection of spirits too when you want to graduate to something a little stronger. Café Walenburg is notoriously not a sports bar so don’t expect to come here to watch the football on the big screen.
