One of my favorite things is to discover restaurants in Rotterdam with an amazing cuisine. Rotterdam has a lot of restaurants you do not want to miss, that is why it is so difficult to choose. I therefore have made a top 5 dining spots in Rotterdam you don’t want to miss!
FG and FG Foodlabs
These restaurants are really a phenomenon in Rotterdam. FG and FG Foodlabs were founded by François Geurds. This chef always creates a taste sensation that you don’t want to miss and has been rewarded this year for his hard work with Michelin stars. The FG restaurant with high expectations has two stars and they provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. FG Foodlabs is always experimenting with flavors. You can only have dinner here and enjoy the well-deserved Michelin star.
Little V
The restaurant introduces you to the traditional South Vietnamese cuisine. You will experience this when you take the first step in the restaurant and noticing the decor. By using ginger lemongrass and fresh herbs, they ensure complex flavors in their dishes. Even the cocktails they serve are fantastic. Little V is one of the busiest restaurants in Rotterdam. If you want to eat here, a reservation is necessary.
Black Smoke
Are you a meat lover and are you highly tempted when you smell slowly cooked meat from the barbecue? Then Black Smoke is highly recommended. Traditional dishes get a Black Smoke makeover and are accompanied by original fiery creations. The kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant so you can see the preparation of your dish while drinking a good cocktail. Black smoke is located in the Van Nelle Factory just ten minutes away from downtown Rotterdam. A reservation is required.
Fish Market
The Fish Market has been the seafood bar of Rotterdam for more than 2 years. They only use fresh and high-quality products to prepare the most delicious fish dishes on their Big Green Egg barbecue: fresh lobsters, oysters, fish and chips and the freshest fruits de mer. They also have several wines that combine perfectly with the food. If you do not feel like going out for dinner? No worries, they also do delivery. Choose what you want to eat and in no time, it can be ready to be picked up at our reception.
Gare De Nord
100% vegetable, organic and sustainable. Gare du Nord is a purely vegetable and organic (where possible) restaurant that is committed to a sustainable and healthy lifestyle. All dishes are prepared with local, seasonal and preferably organic ingredients. This restaurant is located in an old tram and has a very nice terrace. It is really an experience to eat here, because the staff takes the time to explain how they get their products.
