There are so many beautiful parks for you to explore some of the city’s beautiful and scenic parks. The Het Park is better known as the park at the Euromast – one of the highest towers that can be found in the Netherlands, created by landscape architects father and son Zochers.

The park is a must for anyone visiting around Autumn time, the trees are more than a hundred years old, walk along the golden leaves and be sure to keep an ear out for some bustling wildlife, tawny owls breeds can be found in the followers as well as woodpeckers and freshwater muscles in the water ponds. During the Autumnal months take a trip up to the Euromast and see the whole park under your feet and on a clear crisp Autumn day, you will also see the Belgian city of Antwerp a whole 80 kilometers away.

Listed as one of the 25 best parks in Europe back in 2018, the Roof Park, also known as Dakpark, is another unique Autumnal gem to visit during your trip to Rotterdam. This park offers spectacular views of the city’s harbours and towering architecture. Measuring 85 meters in width, this is the largest roof park in Europe. In the park, there is so much to explore with endless gardens, a playground for children, and all sorts of activities from yoga, barbecues, and kiosk with some yummy local cuisine.

Classic Cuisine

Rotterdam has a wonderful food culture which stems from the vast cultural diversity in the city. As you wander around the city, take in the delicious aromas of Stroopwafel, Patats, Bitterballen, and an Autumnal favourite amongst locals and tourists- Apple Pie!
