Chris Ramsey – 4th & 5th July
Chris Ramsey is coming to The King’s on 4 & 5th July as part of his biggest stand-up tour yet. Having filled enormous venues across the country multiple times, we are delighted to welcome Chris to our beloved theatre. His stand-up special Approval Needed is now available to stream on Amazon Prime and alongside his long-suffering wife Rosie, he is also the co-host of the no.1 hit podcastShagged. Married. Annoyed. He and Rosie also won the Global Award’s Best Podcast Award and British Podcast Award Listeners Choice in 2020 and their book reached number one in the charts. Alan Carr – 10 & 11th July
Beloved and legendary comedian Alan Carr is back on the road in 2022 with a brand-new stand-up show ‘Regional Trinket’. This brand-new show takes us from the exhilarating high of his star-studded wedding day to the low of lockdown stuck on a farm and everything else that has changed for him over the past four years since he last toured. As well as hosting his own TV show, Alan has delighted audiences across the UK, Ireland, and the world since he burst onto the scene in 2001 and has become more of a self-proclaimed Regional Trinket than a national treasure! It’s a guaranteed great night out with Alan.
Peppa Pig’s Best Day Ever – 13th & 14th July
Mummies and Daddies across Glasgow rejoice. Peppa Pig returns to The King’s Theatre on the 13th & 14th of July for two days of dancing, singing and fun. Peppa Pig is excited to be going on a special day out with George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig – it’s going to be her best day ever! From castles to caves, dragons to dinosaurs and ice creams to muddy puddles – there is something for all of the family and their friends to enjoy, including Miss Rabbit, Mr Bull, Suzy Sheep, Gerald Giraffe and more. Footloose 1st to 6th August
Following two critically acclaimed tours and a West End run, Footloose is back and better than ever from 1st to 6th August. Ren thinks life is bad enough when he’s forced to move to a rural backwater in America. But his world comes to a standstill when he arrives at Bomont to find dancing and rock music are banned. Taking matters into his own hands, soon Ren has all hell breaking loose and the whole town on its feet. Enjoy show-stopping performances from international pop superstar AstonMerrygold and the legendary Darren Day with choreography and music you’ll be singing along to after the show ends.
Singin’ in the Rain – 8th to 13th August
Step back in time and experience the glamour of Hollywood during the roaring 20s with an unforgettable performance of Singin’ in the Rain. Adam Cooper stars as ‘Don Lockwood’ alongside Charlotte Gooch, Jenny Gayner, and Kevin Clifton making a splash in Glasgow from 8th to 13th August. High-energy dancing, fantastic set design and the romance of one of the world’s best-loved classic movies come together for this fantastic show. Singin’ in the Rain features the glorious MGM score including Good Morning, Make ‘em Laugh, Moses Supposes and the legendary Singin’ in the Rain. There are also over 14,000 litres of water on stage every night making it the most unique and fascinating stage this year.
