Think Tank
Does your family have an aspiring scientist in the making? The Think Tank is an award winning museum in the field of science and technology with over 200 hands on displays from the past, present and future. It is home to a planetarium with a variety of shows about astronomy, a science garden, at outdoor discovery zone where machines and transportation are explored, and a kid city, a min city where everyone can test their smarts on a variety of topics including recycling, animals and dinosaurs.
Think Tank has a cafe open during selected periods which serves light meals, as well as hot and cold snacks.

Clue HQ Birmingham
Is your family up for the challenge? You’ll have 60 minutes to work together in Clue HQ to follow clues and solve a mystery together as a team. You will have the choice to either track down a wanted criminal, escape a high security prison before it’s too late, stop artificial intelligence from destroying the world, or discover Captain Riddle’s forgotten fortune. Families have loads of fun in this team building activity as they deal with the pressure of time constraints and battle the unknown!

Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park
For the animal lover in the family, we highly recommend the Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park, home to animals and species from across the globe as well as the host for an education center for conservation and breeding where children learn about wild and endangered animals, and what can be done to raise awareness for their preservation in the wild. In the park you will find creatures such as red pandas, lemurs, reptiles, otters, wallabies and a large collection of monkeys lurking about in their beautiful and naturally landscaped habitats. It is a great place to bring the family for a day out while in Birmingham.

Birmingham Museum and Gallery
For the history and art lovers, we encourage a visit to the Birmingham Museum and Gallery. It’s where history is brought to life, and in many ways and forms! From storytelling and dress up for the youngest family members, to walking the streets of 18th century Birmingham, there is much to do.
The art enthusiasts can marvel at the collection of over 3000 beautiful paintings, drawings and prints. While the treasure hunters can pour over and study the biggest discovery of Anglo-Saxon gold ever found as it lays for safety keeping beneath the glass displays.
