Bristol Ferry Boat
If it’s your first time to Bristol and you want to see the city in a unique way, the Bristol Ferry Boat experience is the perfect idea! The friendly team offer public trips around the city by river in order to show you the attractions of Bristol by boat. Simply head down the Harbourside, just a 10 minute walk from our apartments and you can jump on the boats from there.
Pirate Pete’s Walking Tour
Pirate Pete’s Walking Tour offers a great way to see the city by foot, that will keep the little ones entertained no end! Lasting approximately an hour, the very charismatic Pirate Pete will take you on an adventure around Bristol, telling tales of the 16th to 18th century maritime history in a fun and interactive way to keep the children engaged.
Clifton Suspension Bridge
Possibly the most famous landmark of Bristol, a visit to the city isn’t complete without a trip to see Brunel’s Suspension Bridge. If your little ones are a fan of heights, you can walk along the bridge, over the river with viewing points at each end to overlook the spectacular view. The observatory just next to the Bridge is a great place to take in the sights too, with its camera obscura in the tower which the children will love. Part way down and into the Giant’s Cave there is another fantastic viewing point, overlooking the bridge, the city and the River Avon. The caves stretching 100ft underground are a great activity for the adventurous amongst you too!
Ashton Court Estate
Ashton Court Estate lends itself to 850 acres of woodland, with cycle trails, two golf courses and horse riding facilities to name a few. The beautiful woodland is home to many animals, including deer parks and its woodland garden with many smaller creatures. The natural play area is a great activity to keep the children happy along with a trip to the café to get a coffee for the parents and an ice-cream for the kids at the end of the day!
