Bristol is a city with a unique story to tell and home to some of the best artists in the UK including the hilarious Stephen Merchant and (reportedly) notorious graffiti artist Banksy. We have put together what we would do on our ideal day in this vibrant and historic city.
Breakfast
The early bird catches the worm and you will need to be up very early to fit a lot into your day. Visit Britain’s oldest coffee house, Café Revival, for a light bite or something more substantial to kick off your busy day. The building itself is a historic site and only a 5-minute walk from PREMIER SUITES PLUS Cabot Circus
Being A Tourist
Close to Café Revival sits the City Museum and Art Gallery. Entry is free and with three floors you could spend hours learning and exploring. In their latest exhibition, you can learn about the Pliosaurus, an 8-meter long Jurassic beast. The museum also has artefacts varying from ancient Egypt to the natural world, plenty of fun for all the family.
You cannot visit Bristol without stopping at the number one tourist attraction, Brunel’s CC Great Britain. This historic ‘ship that changed the world’ has a vast and varied history and even had its own brand of champagne named after it. You can book tickets on their website.
Lunchtime
The Stable is one of our firm favourites for lunch. They offer a different menu in each of their locations depending what ingredients and ciders the local area have to offer so you are sure to taste local Bristol food and drink. They are famous for their pizza but have wraps and salads on the lunch menu too.
Shopping
You could try out Bristol’s largest and newest shopping centre, Cabot Circus, home to over 120 shops from designer brand names to high street bargains. Less than 5 minutes’ walk from PREMIER SUITES Bristol Cabot Circus too, so you can visit on your way home.
Another great shopping area is Bristol Markets. Established in 1743, the markets are used for local and international traders to sell everything from food at the farmers market to books and gifts at nails market. You are sure to find a bargain, perhaps something to remind you of our special city.
Dinner And Drinks
Bristol is an International city that offers cuisine from around the world so we can cater for everyone. With our city’s strong connection to all things maritime, you could try the floating restaurant, Glassboat Brasserie for some classic French food. After dinner, there are plenty of venues and pubs to choose from for a nightcap. Try the local, old-fashioned and traditional Seven Stars pub for a real Bristol welcome.
However you choose to spend your day in Bristol, choose the centrally located PREMIER SUITES PLUS Cabot Circus to ensure you get a good night’s sleep and are well rested for all of your adventures. You can check out our rates and special offers or contact us. We look forward to welcoming you!
