General Manager

We are pleased to appoint Tom Vermerris as General Manager in Amsterdam. Tom has been working with PREMIER SUITES since February 2019.

Tom has worked extensively in the hospitality industry, in locations including Dublin, Antwerp and Rotterdam.

Tom is eagerly anticipating his new role in Amsterdam – “ ‘We shape our buildings; thereafter, they shape us.’ – quoted from Churchill, came to mind when seeing the building taking shape and wondering what it would be like to work there. I have a passion for leaving guests with a memorable experience that exceeds their expectations”

The Building

Hourglass, so called because of the distinctive hourglass shape of the new building and inspired by Romanian sculptor, Constantin Brancuși.

Along with PREMIER SUITES PLUS the building includes 21,000 m2 of office space of which 15,500 m2 will be occupied by the law firm Loyens & Loeff (among other tenants). There will also be 700 m2 of retail and catering space, bicycle storage and 148 car parking spaces.

The property includes a large glass entrance hall, spacious light filled lobby, contemporary apartments and floor to ceiling glazed walls offering impressive views across the river and the city.

The property is expected to become one of the most iconic buildings in Amsterdam due to its impressive shape, materials used and imaginative architecture.
