Shinfield Studios Reading
Shinfield Studios are an exciting new hub for film, TV, and production in the UK. They have already opened 13 fully soundproofed and air-conditioned stages with more film and TV studio facilities opening on a rolling basis over the next year. A further five stages are due to be completed by 2024. Shinfield Studios is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built studio facility, 20 minutes by car from our accommodation in central Reading with a car park on-site. The studios are within Wokingham Borough’s Thames Valley Science Park, ideally situated with great transport links. When fully launched, Shinfield will be one of the largest studio complexes in the UK. They’ll have 18 purpose-built sound stages, contemporary offices, and a post-production complex with a cinema – perfect for the world’s biggest blockbusters.
Winnersh Film Studios
Operated by Stage Fifty, a world-class sound stage company, Winnersh Film Studios is a new filming facility just off junction 10 of the M4. They currently have two sound stages, offices, and workshops operational. The remaining four state-of-the-art stages, including a 30,000 sq ft stage to house the world’s largest VP volume, will start welcoming productions later this year. Upon completion, there will be six stages with 120,000 sq. ft of stage space. Their first booking was The Boys in the Boat, a feature directed by George Clooney which caused much excitement around Reading. The studio is a 15-minute drive or an 8-minute train ride from PREMIER SUITES Reading, alighting at Triangle Railway station.
