Airfield Estate is Dublin’s only working farm, gardens, kitchen, education & food destination. Situated near Sandyford in Dundrum, Airfield is a fun day out for all ages. Open 7 days from 9:30am – 6pm the interactive farm allows little ones to make friends with the resident goats, pigs, hens and donkeys and watch feeding and care demonstrations. For the grown-ups, you can enjoy the vintage car garage to learn more about the Estate’s historic importance and some beautiful artefacts. Rainforest Adventures Centre
Another great spot in Dundrum, great for families, couples and groups, is Rainforest Adventure Golf. Here you’ll find two indoor mini golf courses, a café and a mini arcade, great for all types of visitors. Don’t worry about bringing any equipment – just turn up with or without a booking and they’ll give you clubs and balls. Enjoy Aztec and Mayan themed 18-hole courses set against a cool jungle environment with plenty of surprises along the way. The courses take around 45 minutes each – depending on how much you’ve practised! Afterwards, you can enjoy pizza, snacks, coffee, ice cream and even beer in the Canopy Café. The arcade is a great finisher with everyone hoping to win a memento of a great day out.
