Why take your pet with you?
There are many reasons, besides the company of your animal, for you to bring your pet with you when you stay with us for a longer term. Pets can suffer from grief and separation anxiety when separated from their owners for long periods, especially in unfamiliar surrounds such as kennels and catteries. If your pet is on a special diet, medication or a specific exercise regime, taking your pet with you means you can continue to care for your pet in your usual manner. Should you require information about local veterinarians, groomers, or our additional pet-friendly suites services, simply ask our team. Upon check-in, you will be provided with a welcome letter containing our terms and conditions and a map of the local area including local parks and suitable walks.

Our Terms and Conditions
Cats and dogs are welcome at PREMIER SUITES Newcastle and many other PREMIER SUITES locations, for extended stay guests. For any other animal, please contact our reservations team to discuss your specific circumstances. The weight limit of a pet should be 40lb or less. If you have a large animal, again contact the property to discuss exceptional circumstances. We have a cleaning fee of £250 (exclusive of tax) per pet to a maximum of two pets. Guests travelling with pets will be required to sign a waiver at check-in, agreeing to uphold the guidelines of the hotel’s pet policy:
- Keep your pet on a leash or in a carrier while in public areas.
- Keep your pet out of any food & beverage areas.
- Notify the reception desk when leaving the pet unattended in the guest room regarding the duration for which guest will be away.
- Prevent noise or any other disturbance by the pet in the interest of other hotel guests.
- Pay for any additional cleaning bills or repairs should they be required.
- Guest should bring own bedding, food and dishes for the animal

Guests with allergies
We understand that a pet-friendly hotel is not ideal for everyone, especially those with allergies to animal hair. We would like to assure you that our animal guests will not affect your future or current stays. We have taken every step necessary to ensure that all traces of their stay are removed, and rooms systematically cleaned. After the departure of an animal guest, the room is not occupied again for at least 12 hours after their departure to ensure proper cleaning and aeration time. Our post-pet cleaning includes:
- All bedding, including the duvet cover, feather topper, duvet insert, pillows, and blankets, is removed, dry-cleaned, and replaced.
- The mattress is inspected, and mattress protector replaced.
- Carpet is heavily vacuumed and thoroughly shampooed.
- Windows are left open to allow for proper ventilation.
- All upholstery is completely dry-cleaned.

We have also taken the necessary steps to ensure you will not have any unwanted encounters with a pet in our public spaces. All guests are required to sign a waiver upon check-in agreeing to keep their pet on a leash or in a carrier while in public areas, out of all dining areas, and to prevent noise, or any other disturbance by the pet.
