We may well be slowly saying goodbye to summertime, sunny days in the garden, holiday time and afternoons spent in beer gardens but we still have lots to look forward to in our lovely city with autumn coming up!
With the change of the seasons, Westonbirt Arboretum is a must see in autumn, with the leaves changing colour and falling, it is truly a beautiful sight. With their newly opened Treetop Walkway, you can experience the forestry from through the skies with spectacular views! With lots of family friendly walks and trails taking place across the autumn months, there’s lots there to keep you all busy.
With Okterberfest a favourite annual festival in Bristol, the city likes to run with the theme of celebrating beer and is also hosting Bristol Beer Week! This year, it will take place between the 27th of August to 2nd September, with various venues around the city taking part with a collection of events showing what Bristol and the West Country have to offer.
As always the local attractions have tonnes to see and do. Bristol Hippodrome is keeping its audiences entertained throughout autumn with lots of new productions taking place, to include the family favourite, ‘The Sound of Music’ which runs between the 30th August to 3rd September.
To top off this autumn, the popular Downs Festival is back for 2016, with Bristol made headliners Massive Attack taking to the stage. With a huge line up of bands and DJs taking to the Downs in Clifton for this one day event, made even more special with the comeback of the headline performers.
