We're going green to keep our planet clean
We strive to reduce pollution to its lowest practicable level and are committed to comply with all relevant legislation and associated guidance.
We monitor and manage environmental performance in our operations through environmental risk assessments. Operating procedures and controls are developed through this process to reduce any risks to the environment to the lowest level practicable. Reviews of environmental performance are built in to regular health and safety inspections and audits.
All waste represents an inefficient use of resources and energy. We try to reduce the quantity of waste generated and regularly review routes whereby waste can be eliminated or reduced or recycled.
The Company promotes the efficient use of energy by its staff through the use of energy surveys, improved housekeeping, control of processes and the efficient use of service engineer resources.
Our staff, when planning work will try to keep all potential impacts on the environment such as noise, dust, smells or fumes to a minimum.
All wastes will be disposed of responsibly. Our staff will ensure they comply with all the waste disposal requirements.
The company believes that awareness and knowledge of environmental issues is an important part of the process of effective environmental management. Therefore it is our objective to provide suitable information and training to our employees to ensure they are able to make informed decisions.

What we are doing
Reducing our impact on the environment
Guest Communication
When guests arrive we explain and give them the options of recycling – separate bins and options to recycle different materials. Housekeeping staff is also involved in recycling.
In our main lobby we have the water cooler/machine and advice the guests that they have jugs in the apartments that they can use – they can fill the water jugs and keep it in their refrigerators – no need to be buying water.
Maintenance & cleaning
All cleaning detergents provided by our suppliers are concentrated so dilute when using it. We mainly use one designated sanitising liquid that is suitable for all surfaces, floors, touch points. This in general is reducing the usage of various chemicals.
All our electrical appliances in the apartments and public area’s are set to switch off automatically when the program is finished.
One of the daily and nightly shift procedures is property walk to make sure the radiators, air conditioners and non-sensor light fittings are off.
Growing Our Own
We have our very own herb garden for the guests to enjoy – fresh leaves, herbs, mint for tea and mojitos is offered to all guests here. In all other Prem Hospitality properties, we too offer potted herbs that are available for guests needs.
Our People
The team at PREMIER SUITES Dublin Ballsbridge are trained in and from the start taught of advertising the idea of saving the environment, reducing, and recycling and made aware we all follow the same rules.
Transportation
We offer bicycle racks and a secure place inside the property here at PREMIER SUITES Dublin Ballsbridge to have an option for people to cycle to work.
We offer all employees the opportunity to avail of the bike to work scheme.
We are planning to get an electric charging point at PREMIER SUITES Dublin Ballsbridge.
Operations
In the lobby we have compostable coffee cups but also little sign kindly suggesting using the cups from the bedrooms for their coffee.
We recently replaced the small plastic bottles for toiletries we used to offer before into Paul Costelloe bigger recyclable bottles which helped us not to be wasting that much plastic.
We started ordering cardboard water containers instead of glass bottles for bedrooms/apartments for even more sustainable option to have fresh drinking water available for all our guests.
At PREMIER SUITES we are now accessible via “Whatsaap Business”. QR code is advertised all over the property and provided to the guests on check in – this minimises the usage of paper/welcome letters for the guests with the arrival information provided – all “how to’s” and things to do in Dublin can be found by just scanning the QR code.
At reception for internal use, we only use the recycled paper. We also stopped printing the booking confirmations etc. as all information provided and required is being saved in the computer/email files. It’s also easy – all is stored in one place.
All cleaning detergents are being provided by our suppliers concentrated so we can dilute it when using it.

Our Building
Home away from home
Here at Premier Suites Dublin Ballsbridge we have a mixture of double glazed and PVA windows that is offering sound protection and at the same time keeps the heat inside the apartment.
Key card operated electricity switch in every room and apartment at Premier Suites helps to save the electricity when guests are out from the apartment. Once the guests are not in the apartment and key card is out from the switch the electricity switches off and it’s saving the electricity that of course saves the environment.
Sensory lights all over the building in the public areas too saves a lot of electricity – lights only are on when people are walking/passing by.
At Premier Suites we only use the saving LED bulbs that are long lasting and uses much less power.
The radiators in the public area’s and in the apartments without air conditioning heating are operated by valves so guests and we are switching these off when no need for extra heat.
In our apartments and the common laundry area we have high efficiency washers and dryers. The dryers also switch off automatically once the laundry is dry in case guest would select longer programme without realising it.

For all PREMIER SUITES properties, we order local Irish Butlers Chocolate to support local Irish produce.
At PREMIER SUITES Dublin Ballsbridge we use Irish Bewley’s Tea and Coffee supply for our rooms and apartments.

Standard natural pure wool throws are being used in all 3 Dublin Properties and they are designed and produced in Ireland in Co. Donegal.
Paul Costelloe designed and produced toiletries are also used in all Prem Group Properties all around Ireland. The company is based locally in Dublin.
Charity Events
Get involved
Prem Group has its own charity “Beyond the Moon” that organizes the events and outings. The collected funds are going all around Ireland and Europe to support family holidays for struggling families with sick children.
PREMIER SUITES Ballsbridge, Leeson Street and Sandyford organised and supported the Animal Charity from the funds collected during Christmas Jumper’s Day outing.
Once a year we go through our lost property left by guests over a year ago – we wash, fold, and bring the left clothing to our local charity shop.
Prem Group also did a collection and hamper sale to support the Ukrainian community.
